Retro Rhythms is an expansive collection that takes you back, way back, to the grooves and beats of 80s and 90s production. Inspired by the likes of Janet Jackson, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Prince, Morris Day, Teddy Riley, L.A. Reid, Babyface, and other architects of New Jack Swing, synth-pop, R&B, and hip-hop adjacent production, this pack delivers the era’s signature impact and attitude. Expect punchy snares, gated kicks, epic drum fills, jackin’ rhythms, and industrial-leaning 80s grooves built for instant inspiration.

All sounds were recorded, mixed, and designed using a blend of classic drum machines and live drum kits, then shaped through analog and digital studio staples including the AMS RMX, Lexicon 480, and an SSL 4056 G/G+ console for that unmistakable depth, glue, and punch.

Bianca C. Richardson is an Orange County, California-based drummer, producer, and live/session musician who has worked with major labels including Atlantic Records, Sony, and Republic Records. Her credits include recording, touring, and collaborating with artists such as Justin Bieber, H.E.R., Willow Smith, Justin Skye, Conan Gray, K. Michelle, Madison Beer, Diana Gordon, Moonchild, Cory Wong, Genevieve Artadi (Knower), and Marcus Miller, with appearances in Netflix’s All American and Shirley (starring Regina King). She is endorsed by Paiste, Roland, D’Addario, Tama, Vic Firth, and Ultimate Ears.
